Sometimes everyone needs a reminder to do a task – especially if it is crucial that it gets done by a certain time.
For these times, DailyBalance allows you to set a reminder to notify you on your iPhone or iPad. This feature is currently only available on iPhone and iPad. Mac and PC reminders coming soon!
How to Set a Reminder
Setting a Reminder on a Task
1. On your phone or iPad, go to the Day Planner screen.
2. Tap on a Task and choose Add Reminder (you can also add a reminder in the Edit Task screen).
3. Tap on the down arrow to choose a time to be notified of the reminder to do the task.
Note: If you choose a time in the past, it will make the reminder for that time tomorrow
Setting a Reminder on a “Section”
In addition to setting a reminder on a particular Task, you can also set a reminder on a Section of your Day Planner.
This is helpful if you want to be reminded to check DailyBalance during your lunch break, for example. Or to check before you leave work in case you have an errands to run on the way home.
To do this, tap on the Section name in the Day Planner and tap on Add Reminder.
Things to Note
The first time you set a reminder, you will be prompted by iOS to Allow Notifications. If you don’t allow, then the notifications will not come through.
Notifications must be ON for each iOS device you are using DailyBalance on.
If you mistakenly say Don’t Allow, you can change this by going to the Settings app on the phone, scrolling down to DailyBalance and turning Notifications on (green).
