The following are the keyboard and mouse shortcuts for DailyBalance on Windows and macOS.
General Shortcuts
- Space key:
Check or uncheck the highlighted task
- Up and Down Arrow keys:
Move the highlight up or down
- Page Up and Down keys:
Scroll up or down a page worth of items
- Home and End keys:
Go to the top or bottom of a list of items
- Escape (esc) key:
Closes an open dialog (equivalent of Cancel button)
Master List Shortcuts
- Delete and Backspace keys:
Deletes the highlighted item (equivalent of choosing Delete from the popup menu)
- Enter or Return keys (fn + Enter key on mac):
Adds a new Task or Trigger at the same level as the highlighted item
- Insert key (win) and “i” key:
Adds a sub-task to the highlighted Task
Day Planner Shortcuts
- Delete and Backspace keys:
Removes the highlighted item from the Day Planner (equivalent of choosing “Remove” from the popup menu)
- Enter or Return keys (fn + Enter key on Mac):
Adds a new Task and adds it to the Day Planner. The new Task will get added to the “default” Domain.
- Double Click on a Checkbox
Checks the Task and removes it from the Day Planner - Click and Hold on the Add (+) button
Displays buttons to add the Task to a specific Domain. For example, click on the green Add button to quickly add a “Work” task or the blue button for a “Home” task.
